As Darold departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Darold may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Darold leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Rahe and Lena Rahe. He is survived by: his wife Gwen Schuerman; his children, Randal and Sandra; and his friend Happy Hour.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel (708 N 6th St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A prayer will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 9:45 AM to 10:00 AM at the St John Lutheran Church (701 N 6th St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to the family's choice for future designation with the funeral home in charge.
