She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Jurgens and Etta Jurgens (Ideus); her husband Harold Huls; her parents-in-law, Heye and Helena Huls (Busboom); her siblings, Marilyn, LaDonna Jurgens, Marilus Baehr, Marvin Jurgens and Roger Jurgens (Beulah); her siblings-in-law, Richard Huls (Esther), Fred VanLaningham and Marjorie Huls; and her nephews, Mark Briscoe, Glen Huls and Robby Baehr.
She is survived by: her friend Filley; her children, Rick Huls (Barb) of Grand Island, Russ Huls (Doris) of Lufkin, TX, Colleen Huls of Lincoln and Christi Rohlfing (Scott) of Ankeny, IA; her grandchildren, Chelsea Heuer (Shane) of Omaha, Whitney Cyr (Joseph) of Omaha, Joshua Huls (Emily) of Zeeland, MI, Tyler Huls of Huffman, TX, Ryan Huls (Brooke) of Hudson, TX, Noah Rohlfing (April) of Ankeny, IA, Isabelle and Sophia Rohlfing of Ankeny, IA.; her great grandchildren, Aubree, Jackson, Wyatt and Maverick Huls; her grandchildren, Joseph, Vivienne, Easton Cyr, Callan, Elovie Heuer and Oliver Huls; her siblings, Larry Jurgens (Barb) and Cheryl Kimmerling (Paul); and her siblings-in-law, Richard Baehr, Roger Huls (Helen), Larry Huls (Donna), Ron Huls (Molly), Eileen VanLaningham, Carol Conway (Jim) and Donna Bartlett.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fox Funeral Home (1116 N 19th St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice (408 N 33rd St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the American Lutheran Church of Filley (305 Livingston St, Filley, NE 68357).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family for future designation with Dave and Betty Norton and Norm and Karen Mortensen in charge.
