He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Zulauf and Margaret Zulauf (Johnson); his sisters, Judy DeBoer (Alfred) and Carol Wilson (Dennis); his parents-in-law, Jurgen and Elsie Zimmerman (Tholen); and his siblings-in-law, Arlan Zimmerman and Ethel Wallman (Edward).
He is survived by: his wife Marsha Zulauf of Beatrice; his children, Steven Zulauf (Tracy Pecka) of Beatrice, Doug Zulauf (Teresa) of Pickrell and Tammy Buresh (Jim) of North Bend; his grandchildren, Andrea, Parker Zulauf, Elizabeth, Olivia, Addison Buresh, Wyatt and Whitney Pecka; and his sister-in-law Marie Zimmerman. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the family for future designation with Ron and Becky Jobman in charge.
