With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elta Lewien (Beatrice, Nebraska), born in Beverly, Kansas, who passed away on February 24, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Wacker and Ella Wacker (Meier); her husband William "Bill" Lewien; her brothers, Leonard and Herb Wacker; her siblings-in-law, Chet Dietz and Polly Wacker; and her parents-in-law, Lawrence and Blanche Lewien.

She is survived by : her children, Lori Pohlmann (Jim) of Plymouth, Linda Buss (James), Mark Lewien (Jo) of Beatrice and Rebecca Lewien (Glenda) of Chicago; her grandchildren, Brandon Pohlmann (Sara), Amanda Holzwarth (Steven), Nicholas Buss, Lucas Buss (Shaley), Lance Buss and Michael Lewien; her great grandchildren, Marshall Pohlmann, Landon, Hudson Holzwarth, Ethan, Charlie, Harper Buss, Berkleigh, Rowen and Aurora Buss; and her sisters, Deloris Deitz of Riverside, CA and Eldora Lewien (Roger) of Lincoln. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

A memorial has been established to the Oak Grove Cemetery in DeWitt and Cottonwood Hospice in Beatrice with the funeral home in charge.
