He was predeceased by: his parents, William Vondenkamp and Mary Vondenkamp (Godbout); his daughter Kathy Korth; his grandson Joe Korth; his siblings, Jim Vondenkamp (Jean), Jerry Vondenkamp (Betty), Betty Vondenkamp and Marlene Straughan (Jim); and his brother-in-law Gene Wepler.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Vondenkamp of Beatrice; his children, Linda Rohde (Keith) of Norfolk, Brenda Durman (Steve) of Beatrice and Mike Vondenkamp (Shawn) of Marion; his son-in-law Mark Korth of Norfolk; his grandchildren, Nicholas (Rebecca), Michelle (Jason), Matthew (Hannah), Jill (Kory), Jeremy (Susan), Jared (Maddi), Jacob (Cajsa), Brittany (Brandon) and Lindsey (Presley); and his siblings, Richard Vondenkamp (Nancy) of Omaha and Ruby Wepler of Ohio. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM and from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (612 High St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family's choice.
