He was predeceased by: his parents, Eilert Cramer and Emma Cramer (Meints); his great grandchild Addison Wilson; his parents-in-law, Buford and Beulah Busing; his grandparents, Dirk, Almuth Cramer, Chris and Katie Meints; his aunts and uncles, Alfred Linsenmeyer (Abbie), Gertrude Parde (Edward), Elmer Meints (Mary Ellen), Henry Meints, John, Meta Wallman, Emil and Margaret Wallman; and his cousins, Harlan Meints, Sandra Plymale, David Parde, Margerie Dorn, Ruth Buss, Edward Daubendick, Roland Dorn, Steve Newman and Victor Baete.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Busing; his son Lee Cramer (Tina) of Beatrice; his granddaughters, Danielle Wilson-Ambrose (Seth) and Amanda Hoffman (Jerret); his great grandchildren, Lexi, Charles, Hadley, Mariah, Ryan and Zeke; his stepgrandchildren, Jessica Lacy, Anthony Peck, Cody Peck, Amber Myer (Steve) and Mikala McEvers (Stephen); his nieces, Cindy Inness and Pamela Bespeclec (Jason); and his cousins, Alnora Daubendick, Alvera Baete, Wayne Wallman (Laurie), Don Meints (Cheryl), Diane Church, Joseph Meints, Richard Meints, Mary Jo Neuman, Carol Morris, Ron Meints and Janet Harms (Billy).

A memorial has been established to the Nebraska Children's Home in Omaha.
