He is survived by: his wife Teresa Carel of Beatrice; his children, Johnny Cary-Carel (Tabitha), Melinda Cary-Carel and Case Carel; his granddaughters, Emily and Leah; his siblings, Eric Carel (Lori), Angie Miller (Scott), Annabell Carel, Billy Kyonggon Kim, Tony Carel (Michelle) and James Carel; his stepmother Sally Anne Carel; his brother-in-law Craig Bair (Teresa); and his uncles, David Carel (Ciana), Kenny Johnson (Linda) and Gale Carel. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family's choice.
