He was predeceased by: his father Francis W. Weakland; his brother Kyle Weakland; his father-in-law Paul Roberts; and his grandparents, Leonard, Elsie Schwartz, Francis and Hermina Weakland.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Weakland of Beatrice; his sons, Erik Weakland (Mariah) of Beloit, KS and Shawn Weakland (Jessica) of Beatrice; his mother LaVanche "Van" Weakland (Schwartz) of Adams; his grandchildren, Ryann, Hadley, Gavin Daryl, Brock, Cierra and Katy Weakland; his sister Valerie Bottcher (Dan) of Lincoln; his mother-in-law Elaine Roberts of Beatrice; his siblings-in-law, Barb McAlister (Al) of Topeka, KS and Randy K. Roberts of Beatrice; and his pet Riley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fox Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1116 N 19th St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A prayer will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:15 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (321 N 10th St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Beatrice (321 N 10th St, Beatrice, NE 68310).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family for future designation.
