She was predeceased by: her parents, Vern McCown and Emogene McCown (Ledbetter); her father-in-law Delbert Bartels; and her brothers, Russell McCown and Dennis McCown.

She is survived by: her husband Alan Bartels; her daughter Amanda Bartels of Beatrice; her mother-in-law Shirley Bartels of Blue Springs; her siblings, Dave Bailey (Sue) of California, William Bailey of New York and Karla Pittman of Beatrice; her nieces, Shawna, Jessica, Kayla and Jennifer; her nephew Austin; and her great-nieces, Chenoa and Tehya.

Memorials are suggested to the family to help with medical bills in care of the mortuary.
