We announce the death of Lorraine Scott of Beatrice, Nebraska, born in Pacific Junction, Iowa, who passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 87. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton Howser and Edith Howser; her husband Kenneth Scott; her son Patrick Scott; her siblings, Lou Howser, Kay Hankins (Darrel) and Louise Yarbrough (Danny); and her parents-in-law, Clifford and Bessie King Scott.
She is survived by: her children, Dianna Knoop (Gary Lovitt) of Crab Orchard and Doyle Scott (Patty Thomas) of Pickrell; her daughter-in-law Denise Scott of Beatrice; her grandchildren, Samantha Berry (Jonathan), Shawna Knoop (Haley), Casey Scott (Kimberly), Candace Barnes (Billy), Zachary Scott, Lacie Scott and Kelly Diller (Karlea); her great grandchildren, Brantley Scott, Weston Scott, Emberly Gruhn, Jace, Emma Berry and Scottie Diller; and her sisters, Leota Study (Jerry) and Sheila Hardy (Donny). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fox Funeral Home (1116 N 19th St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
