She was predeceased by : her husband Marvin Steele; her parents, Lyle Forsyth and Florence Forsyth (Putnam); her son Russell Steele; her daughter-in-law Norma Steele; and her sisters, Lois Sharp, Marjorie Forsyth, Mildred Root and Kathryn Oltman.

She is survived by : her children, Mary Frazier (Glenn) of Princeville, HI, Lavina Wall (John) of Tecumseh, KS, Amy Cox (Bill) of Bethany, OK, Ross Steele of Norfolk, NE and Joe Steele (Tammie) of Benkelman, NE; her daughter-in-law Judy Steele of Breman, Indiana.; and her sisters, Pauline Grosbach of Imperial, NE, June Switzer (Ed) of McPherson, KS and Rosanna Johnson (LaVane) of Eagle, NE. She is also survived by 13 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.
