He was predeceased by: his wife Kathy Higgins; and his father-in-law Ronald Higgins. He is survived by: his parents, Robert P. Russell and JoAnn E. Russell (Caspers) of Beatrice; his children, Jessica Clingan (David) of Hays, KS, Phillip Russell of Hilo, HI and Rachel Scott (Michael) of Wymore, NE; his grandchildren, Savannah, Elizabeth Clingan, Lilly, Caleb and Hazel Scott; his siblings, Mark Russell of Beatrice, John Russell (Pam) of Filley, Pat Russell (Janene) of Jansen, NE and Julie Weyer (Allyn) of Wymore; and his mother-in-law Marilyn Higgins of Beatrice. He is also survived by uncles, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A prayer will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (701 N 6th St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice in care of the mortuary.
