He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Shuck and Margaret Shuck (Yearka); his children, Kenny Shuck and Diane Rhoden (Tony); his son-in-law Ron White; and his grandchildren, Bailey Hoyer and Zachary Johnson.

He is survived by: his wife Aladean "Smitty" Goracke Puchalla (Schmit); and his children, Gary Shuck (Sandy Ewaskowitz) of Kenosha, Kirk Shuck (Julie) of Doniphan, Brenda Hoyer (Gene) of Sibley, Dianne Johnson (Wes) of Leawood, Don Goracke (Teresa) of Burr, Shirley White of Beatrice, Pauline Messman (Darrell) of Beatrice, Tom Goracke (Nancy) of Crawford, Tim Goracke (Rachel) of Beatrice and Joleen Wrightsman (Brian) of Beatrice. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
