We bid farewell to Norma Jean Huls of Beatrice, Nebraska, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 13, 2026 at the age of 76. Norma touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Evers and Frieda Evers (Meints); her sister Marjorie Rademacher; her parents-in-law, Robert and Viola Ackerman; and her brothers-in-law, Heye Rademacher, William Bartholomew, Danny Kennedy, Michael Ward and Michael Carel.
She is survived by: her husband Don Huls of Beatrice; her children, Kristi Kempkes (Bruce) of Walton and Gregg Huls (Jennifer) of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Kourtney Grimes (Nathan), Kaleb Kempkes, Ayden Huls, Hannah Huls and Tré Fackler; her great grandchildren, Ellie and Maverick Grimes; her brothers, Henry Evers (Blanche) and Donald Evers (Joni); her siblings-in-law, Ted Huls (Charlene), Jerry Ackerman, Laurinda Bartholomew, Betty Ward, Bobbie Carel, Viola Kennedy and Georgia Schuerman (Byron); and her uncle Ervin Meints (Lois). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fox Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1116 N 19th St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A prayer will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 10:15 AM at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church (1918 Garfield St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
