She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Folkerts and Emile Folkerts (Wallman); her siblings-in-law, Marlene Scheele, Marilyn Freese (Richard) and Wayne Schroeder (Elaine); and her nephew Scott Schroeder.

She is survived by: her husband Gail Schroeder; her children, Frances Riege (Gary) of Elkhorn, Ryan Bohling (Denise) of Auburn and Jennifer Loesch of Jacksonville, Florida; her grandchildren, Jeremy Riege (Colleen), Elizabeth Mwale (Julius), Emily, Johnny and Auggy Bohling; her stepgranddaughter Katie Schroeder (Terry); her brother Roger Folkerts (Patty); her stepchildren, Martin Schroeder (Veronica) and Gina Schroeder (Patrick); and her brother-in-law Steve Zanto (Mary). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the church with the church elders in charge.
