He was predeceased by: his parents, Renken Lenners and Elizabeth Lenners (Meints); his children-in-law, Mona Lenners and Garald Blaker; his stepdaughter-in-law Kathy Smith; his siblings, Virgil Lenners (Edith), Eugene Lenners, Robert Lenners and Lois Schuster (Merle); and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Lenners, Gaylan Koch, Glenn Schwab, Duane Siems and Delbert DeBuhr.
He is survived by: his wife Lee of Beatrice; his children, Dennis Lenners of Filley, Denise Blaker of Beatrice and DeeAnn Schmidt (Randy) of Filley; his stepchildren, Ronald Smith of Hudson, Wisconsin, Carolyn Coordsen (Brad) of Jansen and Deborah Wermers (Robert) of Rochester, MN; his siblings, Duane Lenners of Filley, Nelvadeen Schwab of Beatrice, Marilyn Koch of Beatrice and Leona Siems of Beatrice; and his sisters-in-law, Hilda Mae Lenners of Grand Island and Velda Lenners of Filley. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The lying in state will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A prayer will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the American Lutheran Church (305 Livingston St, Filley, NE 68357). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice (408 N 33rd St, Beatrice, NE 68310).
A memorial has been established to the family's choice.
