He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Genrich and Helen Genrich (Rahe); his brother Larry; his parents-in-law, Gene and Inez Marshall; his uncles, John (Verna), Herman (Ruby Genrich), Marvin, Harold (Evelyn), Raymond (Arlene), Vernon "Bud" (Mabel) and Lowell Rahe; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Jones and Dennis Melton (Smokey).
He is survived by: his wife Kay; his children, James "Jim" Genrich of Beatrice, Jesse Genrich (Dana) of Lincoln and Kristi Langford (Corey); his grandchildren, Nicholas of Bennington, Katelyn of Bennington, Noah of Bennington, Lauren of Bennington and April Logston of Beatrice; his great grandchildren, Jacob of Lincoln, Benjamin of Seattle, WA and Reesa Wilcox (Jake Linderman) of Omaha; his granddaughter Brenda Wilcox; his children, Derek of Beatrice, Hannah Wilcox of Beatrice and Tracy Hartley (Mike) of Beatrice; his grandchild Taylor Jurgens (Sabrina Nihsen) of Kansas City; his children, Samantha Shew of Beatrice and Mikki Wilcox; his grandchildren, Cole and Gracie of Columbus; his sister-in-law JoAnne Genrich; his sister Beverly Vonasek (Maurice "Morrie") of Lincoln; his nephews, Jeff Lisec of Grain Valley, MO, Aric Vonasek (Theia) of Aledo, TX and Justin Vonasek of Lincoln; his aunt Bert Rahe of Beatrice; and his siblings-in-law, Sharon Jones of St Joseph, MO, Viola Melton of St Joseph, MO, Marcia Mathias (Craig Wendt) of Herington, KS. and Lewis "Lucky" Melton (Lisa Clinton) of Caseville Ml.
In lieu of flowers memorials has been established to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #531 with Kelly Davis in charge.
