He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Russell and Vivian Russell (Fulton); his son Michael Russell (Kathy); his siblings, Barbara Allen (Keith) and Ronald Russell (Charlotte); and his sister-in-law Linda Russell.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Russell of Beatrice; his children, Julie Weyer (Allyn), Mark Russell, John Russell (Pam) and Pat Russell (Janene); and his brother Kent Russell. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family's choice.
