He was predeceased by : his parents, John Busboom and Minnie Busboom (Ehmen); his parents-in-law, George and Sadie Folkerts (Ideus); his sister Anita Nickeson (Keith); and his siblings-in-law, Chris Remmers, Eleanor Schlake (Wilmer), Evelyn Kisling, Dennis Buel and Gerald Folkerts (Marilyn).
He is survived by : his wife Irene Folkerts; his children, John Busboom (Marcia), Michael Busboom (Doreen), Paul Busboom (Jenny) and Laurie Spilker (Greg) of Pickrell; his grandchildren, Nicole Bartels (Nate), Kylie Church (Jason), Courtney Daubendiek (Brian), Jenna Fehringer (Alex), Ashley Wallen (Jake), Kayla Dorn (Tandon), Lacey Itzen (Justin), Jordan Busboom, Evan Busboom (Olivia Jamison), Alex Busboom and Kiera Busboom; his great grandchildren, Clara, Heston, Sadie Fehringer, Brooklyn, Adalyn Wallen, Cade Church, Gus Daubendiek, Della Dorn and Rylan Itzen; his sister Rosetta Remmers of Filley; his sisters-in-law, Marian Heffley of Bermuda Dunes and Malinda Buel of Hickman, Nebraska; and his great grandchild Cora Church. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to the Zion Lutheran Church Endowment Fund or Zion Lutheran Cemetery of Pickrell with Gerald and Denise Ideus in charge.
