He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaskey Marie Denton (Ackerman) and Harry Denton; and his brother-in-law Sherman Williams. He is survived by: his children, Tommy Denton (Lisa) of Beatrice, Johnny Denton of Beatrice, Kathy Mellema (Todd) of Littleton, CO and Michele King (David) of Waycross, GA; and his siblings, Joyce Willliams, Wayne Denton and Dallas Denton (Karen). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established to the family's choice.
