She was predeceased by: her parents, Tony Sortino and Katherine Sortino (McDermott); her brother John Sortino; and her brother-in-law Frank Mininni. She is survived by: her husband John Walker of Beatrice; and her siblings, Patty Mininni and Daniel Sortino (Rachelle). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established to the Nebraska Humane Society.
