It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia L. Beckner of Beatrice, Nebraska, who passed away on May 17, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Neel and Alice Neel (Nickel); and her husband Bill Beckner. She is survived by: her son Alvin Slapnicka Jr. (Kristie) of Beatrice; her grandchildren, Gabrielle Slapnicka of Beatrice, Kyla DeBoer (Chase) of Beatrice and Jedrek Slapnicka of Pickrell; her great grandchildren, Kellen, Reuben Mick and Baby DeBoer; and her sister Vera Patton of Crete. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
A memorial has been established to the family for future designation.
