She was predeceased by: her mother Anita Piña; her siblings, Gilbert Hernandez and Monica Barrios; and her grandson Jacob Castro. She is survived by: her children, Denise Yates, Teresa Walsh (Dennis), Daniel Castro (Nicole) and James Castro (Julie); her grandchildren, Michael Yates (Lindsey), Amanda Hammett (Malik), Anthony Yates (Shaylee), Travis Wilson (Madison), Anna Castro, Gabriel Castro, Alan Castro (Krysti), Brittany Smith (Johnny Martinez), Tawni Smith and Nick Walsh; her great grandchildren, Ryan, Cora Castro, Travis Yates, Eli Yates and Raelee Yates; and her siblings, Maria Gloria Rowe, Juanita Robbins, Delia Pereira (Tony) and Jimmy Hernandez. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bellevue Memorial Chapel (2202 Hancock St, Bellevue, NE 68005).
