He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordan M. Ried and Edna M. Ried (Greene); his wife Linda Lou Kearney; his son LeRoy "Dusty" Ried; and his sisters, Wanda Hansen and Nancy Green (Attebery).
He is survived by: his children, Lesha Wilson (Todd) of Bellevue, NE and Larry Ried of Bellevue, NE; and his siblings, B. J. Ried (Sandy) of Nebr and Wayne Ried (Patty) of Nebr. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
