He was predeceased by: his parents, Donovan Harald and Mona Harald (Christianson); his wife Lois Ellen Walter; his sons-in-law, Abel Corral and Tom Ptacek; his brothers, Ronald Harald and Roger Harald (Mary Lou); and his brother-in-law Dennis Walter.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Corral of Fargo, Mike Harald (Shanna) of Omaha, Nebraska, Mark Harald (Dorinda) of Newkirk, Jim Harald (Christy) of Alton, Joann Ptacek of Greely, Colorado and Jeff Harald (Alicia) of Sioux Center; his grandchildren, Matthew Harald, Jennifer Nettinga (Kyle), Mike Harald, Jessie Huitink (Eric), Micaela Rice (Bobby), Nicholas Harald, Tyler Harald, Brandon Harald (Elizabeth), Jacob Harald (Alejandra), Tom Ptacek, Lisa Van Grouw, Timothy Ptacek, Kacey Harald, Jessica Mouw (Devin), Sydney Harald and Cori Harald; and his sister-in-law Marjorie Litman (Jim) of Thousand Palms, California.. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Oolman Funeral Home - Orange City (216 Albany Ave NE, Orange City, IA 51041). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials will be given to the family for future designation.
