It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Howell of Bellevue, Nebraska, born in Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on June 12, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Jerry James and Irma Josephine Horacek; her former life partner Kenneth LeRoy Howell of Wisconsin; her family, Michelle Christine and Jason Blaine; her sisters, Donita Elrod of Lincoln, Ann Johnson of Lincoln, Beth Kimmerling Dumler of Lincoln, Connie Kolar of Lincoln, Patsy Konecky of Lincoln, Sherri Shipp of Lincoln, Claire Speedlin of Lincoln, Angie Thompson of Lincoln and Chris Boyd; her children, Alex Benz, Christian Howell and Evan Howell; her grandson Wesley Howell; her children, Kevin Smith, MaKenna Smith and Dan (Susan Staple); her great grandchild Beatrice Fath Staple; and also Josh Staple (Jenny Fath Staple).
She later joined St. Joseph's for 20 years and has been a member of North American Martyrs for the past decade, where she continued to attend services via Zoom once COVID hit.
