We bid farewell to Thomas L. Mertz of Bellevue, Nebraska, born in Omaha, Nebraska, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 26, 2025 at the age of 77. Thomas touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the sacred silence of farewell, Thomas is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Mertz and Carol Mertz (Benedict); and his brother Eugene. He is survived by: his significant other James Sawyer; and his sister Cherie Mertz.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 12324 Charles St, Omaha, NE 68154.
