Maxine Schwahn Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Maxine Schwahn (Spearfish, South Dakota). Maxine, born on January 6, 1934, passed away on September 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Dorothy; and her brothers, Wayne and Daryl. She is survived by: her son Bryan; her husband Phil Baker; her children, Adam, Amanda, Rori, Cody, Emily, Keithen, Dewey and Jhett; and her siblings, Deatta, Gloria, Kay and Gary.
A prayer will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels (450 N 7th St, Spearfish, SD 57783). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Spearfish (844 N 5th St, Spearfish, SD 57783). A burial will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Black Hills National Cemetery.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Tunnel2Towers (T2T) which is a charity that provides help for disabled veterans which is a cause Maxine felt strongly about and supported for years.
