We bid farewell to Leona Rose Gill of Big Springs, Nebraska, born in Ogallala, Nebraska, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 11, 2025 at the age of 88. Leona Rose touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Brant and Leona Brant; her brother Joe; her husband Samuel Gill; her son Vincent Gill; her sister Mary Ann (Tom Hansmeier); her nephew Steve Hansmeier; her grandchildren, Travis Ingram and Kristan Haag; and her close friend Jeanie.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Pat Gill; and her niece Susan Hardessen.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church of Big Springs, Nebraska (102 W 4th St, Big Springs, NE 69122).
A memorial has been established to the Zion Lutheran Church.
