He was predeceased by : his parents, J. Hilton Rhoades and E. Lucille Rhoades (Jensen); his sister Charlotte Gilinski (Rhoades); and his daughter Candace Suverkubbe (Rhoades). He is survived by : his wife Virginia Jensen; his children, Mark Rhoades (Betty) and Penny Overmann (Mike); and his grandchildren, Mindy Rump (Marty), Jessica Madsen (Rod), Nathan Suverkubbe (Melissa), Chris Rhoades (Dalyn), Travis Rhoades (Kristen), Collin Overmann (Jessica) and Brandon Overmann. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the Congregational Church of Blair, Blair Fire and Rescue Squad and the Rose Hill Cemetery.
