He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Sorensen and Agatha Sorensen; his wife Kathleen O'Hanlon (Nancy); his children, Andy Sorensen, Bill Sorensen and Libby Phillips; his grandson Jordan Becker; his son-in-law Dean Elder; and his brother-in-law Dale Jenson.
He is survived by: his children, Peggy Chen (Ming-Guang), Tom Sorensen (Martha), Molly Meeves (Aarron), Kate Johnson, Ron Sorensen (Jenifer), Chris Sorensen, Janace Grover (Pat), Alice Elder, Shawna Sorensen, Laura Sorensen, Kevin Sorensen, John Sorensen (JoJo), Brian Sorensen and Mark Sorensen; his stepchildren, Heidi Wehmeyer (Arnie), Karin Pruess (Doug) and Matt Dierks (Kitty); and his sisters, Charlotte Jenson and Annette Holtam (Jim). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 25th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Campbell Aman Funeral Home (444 S 17th St, Blair, NE 68008). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (2146 Wright St, Blair, NE 68008).
