It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delbert Bartels of Blue Springs, Nebraska, who passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Delbert Bartels to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John Bartels and Martha Bartels (Fuchs); his siblings, Harold Bartels (Mary), Edwin Bartels (Pat), Wilmer Bartels, Esther Franzen (Edward) and Lorna Troxel (Bill); and his siblings-in-law, Alice Scheele (Willard), Lila Koester, Janet Phillips, Dwight Phillips and Ernest Phillips.

He is survived by : his wife Shirley Phillips; his sons, Michael Bartels (Barbara) and Alan Bartels (Laura); his granddaughters, Alexa Cotsonas (Andrew) and Amanda Bartels; his stepgrandson Michael Coryell; his great grandchild Carter Cotsonas; and his brothers-in-law, Marvin Phillips (Marie Day) and Francis Phillips (Mary). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or Blue Springs Cemetery with the funeral home in charge.
