With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lena Dye of Bradshaw, Nebraska, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Lena left this world on June 1, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As we bid adieu to Lena's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Lena has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Harris and Hazel Harris (Osborn); and her siblings, Katherine Lou Dalsing and Franklin Dwayne Harris. She is survived by: her children, Dan Dye (Deb) of Eldora, IA, Cheryl Dye of Bradshaw and Keven Dye (Tracy) of Waco, NE.; and her sister Beverly Darland of Sundance, WY. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Metz Mortuary (109 S Lincoln Ave, York, NE 68467). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bradshaw United Methodist Church (150 W Fulton St, Bradshaw, NE 68319).
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials may be directed to her family for later designation.
