He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Horacek and Anna Horacek (Svoboda); his wife Helen Sedlacek (Novak); and his siblings, Alice Styskal, Adeline Spicka, Rose Keelan, Loretta Svoboda, Ray and Leonard Horacek.

He is survived by : his children, Kelly Luth (Todd) of Little Rock and Rusty Sedlacek (Pam) of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Cameron Luth (Whitney) of Little Rock, Courtney Holden (Jon-Mark) of Louisville, Jamie Sedlacek-Smith (Nate) of Gretna and Jessika Sedlacek of Lincoln; and his sister Sally Hotovy of Lincoln. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

“Don Horacek was the very first Uncle I remember. He was 19 years older than me and was one of the kindest gentlemen I ever knew. He also had a vast knowledge of John Deere farm equipment! I remember when I was young, Uncle Don always took time to play with and, in elementary and high school, spend time with me. I greatly respected him as an individual.. May he Rest In Peace.
