He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtiss N. Smith and Goldie G. Smith (Huckins); his son Nathan E. Smith; and his brothers, Robert Smith and Richard Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Coffey Jones; his children, Carter Smith of Hayden, Alabama, Parker Smith (Billie) of Bridgeport, Nichole Harless (Casey) of Parker, CO and Joseph Smith (Chelsie) of Bridgeport; his sister Janice Bruhn of Chadron; and his sister-in-law Katherine Smith of Scottsbluff. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and spouses, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
