She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Spears and Grace Waggerby Spears; her husband Bill McDermott; and her siblings, Jim, Norman and Flossie.

She is survived by: her children, Cyndia (John Kitt) of San Antonio, TX, William "Pat" (Tajah Neubo) of Bend, OR, Andrea (Kenneth Fields) of Phoenix, AZ, Adina (Mike Bauer) of Bridgeport, NE and John of Wasilla, AK; her nephews, Larry Christison of Filer, ID and Steve Adams of Aurora, CO; and her pet Danny Boy. She is also survived by six grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
