He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Emmett and Clara Keyser (Schroeder); his pet Moose; his grandparents, Emmett, Tina Jane Keyser, John and Alta Schroeder; his brothers, Lawrence LaVerne (Steve) and Gayle Lewis; and his uncle Roland Keyser.
He is survived by: his wife Jan Keyser of Douglas, NE; his brothers, Marvin Keyser (Kay) of Stillwater, OK and Roger Keyser of Apple Valley, CA; his daughters, Joanna Keyser of Lincoln, NE, Jeanne Keyser (Randy Holdsworth) of Douglas, NE and Janell Keyser (Derek Bell) of Denver, CO; and his grandsons, Kristopher John Staab II (Allison) of Red Oak, IA and James Robert. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
