We announce the death of Karen Lewis (Broken Bow, Nebraska), who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 64. Karen will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Karen will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Karen will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Karen’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James and Marian; and her aunt Ruth Bodin. She is survived by: her husband Thane; and her brothers, Brian Anderson (Sandy), Brad Anderson (Robin) and Scott Anderson (Kirsten). She is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Evangelical Free Church (2079 Memorial Dr, Broken Bow, NE 68822). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
