Kent Westling Obituary
The memory of Kent Westling of Broken Bow, Nebraska, who passed away on April 27, 2026 at the age of 65, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Floyd, Gladys Westling, Tony and Eleanor Chytka; and his aunts and uncles, Patricia, Claire, Vickie, Tommy, Buddy, Tony and Bob.
He is survived by: his parents, Jon Westling and Delores "Kit" Westling (Chytka); his uncle Ron; his aunt Cheri Chytka; his sister Kay Lynn Whalen (Daniel); his niece Jillian Whalen; and his nephew Luke Whalen. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Govier Brothers Mortuary (542 S 9th Ave, Broken Bow, NE 68822). A memorial service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church (1000 S 3rd Ave, Broken Bow, NE 68822). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bon Homme Cemetery (40275 Apple Tree Rd, Springfield, SD 57062).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Custer County Foundation.
