We bid farewell to Marvel Mills (Broken Bow, Nebraska), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 28, 2026 at the age of 96. Marvel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Melton Brown and Helga Brown (Sorensen); her husband Wayne Byard Mills; her siblings, Betty Church (Brown) and Lorell Brown; and her siblings-in-law, Harry, Dana, Ted Mills, Gene Williams, Ardyth Mills and Donna Mills.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Farrand (John), Jim Hartman and Shelly Amsberry (Gary); her sister Leona Williams; and her siblings-in-law, Paul Mills, Chuck Church, Sylvia Happold and Elaine Mills. She is also survived by her three children, six grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to Custer County Foundation in support of the Mills-Hartman Scholarship, the VFW Post 3576 Wayne Mills Memorial Scholarship, and the Westerville Cemetery.
