He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Nielsen and Irma Nielsen (Dady); his children, Daniel and Dixie; his grandson Dawson; and his brother Kenneth.
He is survived by: his wife Javene of Broken Bow; his children, Randall Nielsen (Jennifer) of Broken Bow, Darren Nielsen (Stephanie) of Roeland Park, KS and Tara Nielsen (Justin) of Hastings; and his siblings, Marvin Nielsen (Chris) of Holstien, Ronnie Nielsen of Grand Island and Linda Cure (Ralph) of Grand Island. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Govier Brothers Mortuary (542 S 9th Ave, Broken Bow, NE 68822). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow.
