We announce the death of Taresa Brunken of Broken Bow, Nebraska, who passed away on August 3, 2026, at the age of 81. Taresa will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her sister Cathy; and her parents, Bill Janda and Darlene Janda. She is survived by: her brother Richard Eldred; her husband Butch Brunken; her children, Brett, Amy Brunken, Holly and Dan Buck; her grandchildren, Makenna, Seth Cooksley, Jessica, Jacob Bertschinger, Tina, Mike Harth, Katie Buck, Quinn and Lily Buck; and her great grandchildren, Everleigh, Emersyn, Isabella, Berkeley, Bryson, McCoy and Sutton. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Taresa's name to the Custer County Foundation, to help a variety of local charities.
