With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velma Taubenheim (Broken Bow, Nebraska), who passed away on September 29, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Baade and Hulda Baade; her sister Vivian Fichtner; her granddaughter Janelle Miller; and her great grandchildren, Natasha, Lars Jr. and Miles.
She is survived by: her husband Gerald Taubenheim; her children, Donald Taubenheim (Sherri) of Proctorville, OH, Scott Taubenheim (Babette Manske), Julie Roby (Rick) of Grand Island, D'Ette Scholtz (Jeff) of Grand Island and Kylie Miller (Roger) of Dorchester; her grandchildren, Zachary Taubenheim (Holly) of South Bloomfield, OH, Kyle Taubenheim (Olivia) of Cincinnati, OH, Jessica Taubenheim of Charleston, WV, Brenton Roby (Tiffany) of Bennet, NE, Amanda Matejka (Matt) of Lincoln, NE, Kayla Scholtz (John Gits) of Phillips, NE, Ryan Scholtz of Grand Island, NE, Brittnie Kotrous (Kyle) of Lincoln, NE, LeAnn Miller of Gibbon, MN and Kendra Shibuya (Trev) of Norcross, GA.; her sisters, Luetta Lammers of Hazard, NE and Ruby Hatfield of Kearney, NE; and her sister-in-law Venia Whitesel of Broken Bow.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM.
