With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas R. Fintel (Bruning, Nebraska), who passed away on December 22, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Walter Fintel (Shirley Fintel); his in-laws, Alton Edzards (Tony) and Ardean Edzards Cogger; his brother Eugene Werner; his brother-in-law Richard Edzards; and his nephew Bryan Heinrichs.

He is survived by: his daughter Amy Christine (Aaron Peterson); his wife Janice Edzards; his son Aaron Fintel (Jodi); his grandchildren, Hunter Fintel, Hudson Fintel, Asher Peterson and Aeryn Peterson of Bruning; his sister Mary Ann (Larry Heinrichs) of Davenport; his sister-in-law Elaine Werner of Carleton; his siblings, Kirk (Margaret Fintel), Linda (William Masters, Jr.) and Mark Fintel of Lincoln; and his siblings-in-law, Larry (Betty Edzards) of Bruning and Nancy Edzards of Omaha. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
