She is survived by: her brother James Alan Hofferber; her sisters-in-law, Rosemary Hofferber, Jean Borland and Helen Bailey; her sons, Christopher Borland, Brian Borland, Gregory Borland and Bradley Borland; her grandchildren, Gavin Borland, Tyler Borland, Alex Borland, Kayla Perrigan, Kyle Borland, Alyssa Borland, Evelyn Borland and Jackson Borland; and her great grandchildren, Gage Borland and Liam Borland.

Memorials in Carolyn's name are suggested to the Nebraska Alzheimer's Association.
