It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James J. Helm (Cambridge, Nebraska), born in McCook, Nebraska, who passed away on January 28, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, John F. Helm and Helen M. Helm (Sughroue); his siblings, Fred Helm, Mary Helm and Kathy Brashears; and his grandson Jayce Joseph Helm.

He is survived by : his wife Yanis Magaly Rojas of Cambridge; his children, Helena Perks (Brian) of Cambridge, Maria Downer (Derek) of Cambridge and Jaime Helm of Culbertson; his grandchildren, Hunter, Colton Perks, Dylan, Leah, Halle Downer, Bella, Hudson, Kayden and Madison Helm; his siblings, John Helm II (Pam) of Redmond, WA, Mike Helm (Debbie) of Norcatur, KS, Ceanne Rinehart (Martin) of Ogallala and Laurie Helm of St. Joseph, MO; his brother-in-law Hezzy Brashears of Curtis; and his aunt Ruth Sughroue of Kearney. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of Flowers family asks that memorials given in Jim's name to be designated to Veteran's Organization.
