It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Bendig of Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska, who passed away on March 28, 2026, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though David may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Bendig and Marilyn Swisher (Saner); his sister Lori Cranwell; and his grandmother Jeanette. He is survived by: his children, Dustin Sorenson (Kelli) of Columbus, NE, James Stonehocker of Fremont, Travis (Christine Claussen) of North Bend, NE, Kelly Bendig (Adam Lashley) of Anselmo, NE, Ashley Holt (Brian) of Cedar Bluffs and Brittany Bendig (Mike Helget) of Fremont, NE; and his sisters, Karen Swisher (Jim) of Halsey, NE and Teresa Stadler (Dickie) of Axtell, NE. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
