He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon Maly; his brother John Maly; and his brother-in-law Jim Vanderbeek. He is survived by: his sisters, Barbara Vanderbeek of Tulsa, OK and Joyce Springgate (Ed) of Cedar Bluffs; his nieces, Kindra Vanderbeek and Kim Malone (Jim); and his great-nephews, Keegan Brady, Landon and Riley.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (207 N 3rd St, Cedar Bluffs, NE 68015). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cedar Bluffs, Sons of American Legion, American Legion Post 158, or the donor's choice.
