He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward H. Guthard and Thelma J. Guthard (Eggert); his parents-in-law, Clifford and Edith Pratt; his siblings, Janice Guthard and Ted Guthard; his half-sister Ramona Howard; his siblings-in-law, Dean Gadeken, Edward Pratt, Francis Bruna and Wilma Bruna; and his nephew Marvin Pratt.
He is survived by: his wife Vernette Guthard of Cedar Rapids, NE; his daughters, Cindy Duerksen (Allen) of Central City, NE and Jane Beierman (Kent) of Cedar Rapids, NE; his grandchildren, Kaylie Leetch (Kade) of Albion, NE, Justin Beierman (Morgan) of Raeville, NE, Taylor Beierman of Cedar Rapids, NE, Alyssa Young of Gilbert, AZ, Rylie Young of Tempe, AZ, Callyn Duerksen of Central City, NE and Adelyn Duerksen of Central City, NE; his great grandchildren, Ava, Sophie, Tyley Leetch of Albion, NE, Henry and Parker Beierman of Raeville, NE; his sister Evelyn Gadeken of Lincoln, NE; and his sisters-in-law, Marlyne Guthard of Newman Grove, NE and Insun Pratt of Thornton, CO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Levander Funeral Home (1555 S 6th St, Albion, NE 68620). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
