Renate E. Langan Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Renate E. Langan of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 8, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Catarina Fröhlich and Karl Fröhlich; her husband Jerry; her sister Christa Bourdy; her half-brother Walter Kranz; and her daughter Marian Langan.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Langan (Peter Vandenburg), Randy Langan (Lisa), Renee Langan and Jackie Langan (Dyonna Cannon); her grandchildren, Corinne Kolm (Josh Frank) and Sean Langan; her nephew Marc Bourdy; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Maren and Sarah Bourdy; and her grandchildren, Nyia Mitchell, Shakori Colen and Shanti Hubert. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church (508 W Main St, Cedar Rapids, NE 68627). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
